I used these pickups to modify a pawn shop bass. I did not wan to scrap the bass because it is super heavy and large. This is my first attempt at installing pickups myself which is not hard as long as you can handle basic welding.I am still figuring out how high or low the pickups should rest.I can immediately tell the difference- i am not sure what brand was originally in there but with these new jazz strings they accompany the jazz titled pickups perfectly.I recommend these Seymour Duncan pickups.
